So, a client today basically accused me of gouging him with a proposed price, and said he wondered if this was to allow my company owner to add a car to his collection.
Now, if I ever manage to get permission from my wife to have a car just for play, I have to remember not to tell this guy, because he’ll be sure it is due to overcharging him, and not because I worked hard, earned my pay, and made careful decisions on how to spend my money.
I always liked the Porsche Cayman S 987.

Hate to say it but comes with the territory. The apartment where I used to live was in a complex with like 120 units and the guy who owned it also owned 3 other similar complexes. He drove an S65 AMG. The manager who worked there was always unnecessarily combative when dealing with minor issues or tenant requests, always left nasty notes to try and get people to follow policies, and was just a jerk. They always tried to raise the rent by $60+/month every year. Nice little $20k/month increase for them every time across all the units. One year they sent everyone letters with BS about their costs were rising so the rent increase is $80 this year. They were being difficult about some other shit at the same time so I wrote a nasty online review that mentioned all the ways they sucked AND called out the owner for gouging on rent increases while parking his $180k Mercedes in front of the office. They got a notification and figured it was me, and *suddenly* became cooperative while “encouraging” me to take down the review.
